Charles Darwin University is Ranked in the Top 2% of World Universities (Times Higher Education 2013-14) and is located in the capital city of Darwin in the Northern Territory is one of the few dual sector universities in Australia that deliver Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education. This enables students to choose a course to suit their education needs, with pathways leading to bachelor degree.

More than 1100 international students from over 55 nationalities study at CDU.

Darwin

The university is located in Darwin, a tropical city located in North Australia. Darwin has been named in the top ten places in the world to visit in 2012 by the Lonely Planet. It is a youthful, cosmopolitan and multicultural city boasting of stunning wilderness at the doorstep, an eclectic entertainment scene, great markets and spectacular sunsets.

In 2014 Charles Darwin University, School of Business will open a new campus in the Darwin Waterfront Precinct.

Sydney and Melbourne

CDU is now located in two of the most popular cities in Australia. Located in the heart of both these cities, CDU is offering select courses to international students. Sydney and Melbourne offer students the big city vibe with a multicultural population, modern infrastructure and a vibrant nightlife.

Student Accommodation

International House Darwin located on the Casuarina Campus in Darwin provides a safe and secure international community. It comprises of 334 rooms in 16 self-standing multi-level buildings. IHD offers a range of different accommodation options from short term to long term contracts.

Teaching and Research

Classes at the university generally combine lectures and tutorials with seminars, presentations, intensive workshops and field work also used as part of the teaching methods. The class sizes at CDU are small, providing more personalised teaching.

The university ranks highly in its research endeavours. It has been ranked in the top 2% in the world for its research by the times higher education in 2013. The university has developed cross-disciplinary multi research teams, as well as partnerships and collaborative relationships with external agencies to build world class research capability.
